Add a new instagram widget

The previous widget used in the themes will no longer work. You can generate a new widget from snapwidget.com. You'll have to register, but generating a widget is free.


Follow By Email (Subscribe) Widget

As Blogger will discontinue the "Follow By Email" widget on July 11, 2021, you should download your subscriber contacts and look into using another newsletter service (MailChimp, Flodesk, etc). You can get in touch by email (fearnedesign@gmail.com) if you'd like me to switch the sign up forms for you and customize the new one.

Set Up the "About" Widget on the Home Page

1. Go to Layout -> open the "About" widget from the "After First Post" section (it's below the Blog Posts widget).
2. Change the title in the Title field.
3. Add your text in the Caption field.
4. Add a link to your About page to the Link field (optional).
5. Upload an image, but don't click on "Shrink to fit".
6. Click on "Save".

Change the "find out more" button

1. Go to Theme > Edit HTML > click anywhere on the code once (necessary) > press CTRL+F (or CMD+F on Mac) and paste this in the small search box that appears: find <span>out</span> more 2. Change the text to your own (make sure to change just the text and nothing else).
3. If you want any of the words to be italic, keep <span> and </span> around them.

4. Save the changes.
